In 2006, I started a web community at ANF forum, and my experience so far hasn't been palatable. I have sat and watched no one register for such a long time, and then suddenly I noticed hundreds of registrations. This gladdened me exceedingly, but imagine my despair when I checked and discovered they're all spam messages. [UPDATE - Feb 2011: I have now taken down this forum]
